Appearance – decent size apple, just under 3"H, slightly larger than average. Red/pink with some yellow/orange striping. Very pale yellow flesh.
Taste – Sweet with a mild tartness, slightly acidic as well as a bit spicy. That spiciness means this apple is being hailed as the “new Honeycrisp” – not surprising as it’s a descendant of it, but the Pazazz has a longer shelf life. Firm and crunchy with lots and lots of juice, but doesn’t have quite as much spiciness as the Honeycrisp. Definitely a good apple, though.
