One small cheese, one small pepperoni, $13.25
Crust: The crust was soft but firm, and cooked well.
Sauce: This was a bit light on quantity but had an okay taste.
Cheese: There was plenty of cheese, albeit slightly undercooked.
Pepperoni: They were a little chintzy on quantity, and the taste was also bland.
Overall, these pies might have been on the bland side, but they were otherwise pretty good. True story: I called ahead for pickup, but then actually drove right by this place and had to double back to find it. The sign out front can be easily skipped over, as its mostly blue and I was looking for something red. No idea why – maybe because tomatoes and pepperoni are red? Most pizza/Italian restaurants seem to have red in the sign.
Anyway, missing it like I did isn’t all that surprising because this is a total hole-in-the-wall pizza joint. It’s got a small eating area and very little parking out front. I mention this because while each pizza place is different, this one had to be the smallest I’ve seen. It’s particularly interesting because the next joint we tried was the exact opposite. Stay tuned for that write-up!
