UPDATE: This shop has since CLOSED.
Two small pizzas (12”!!), one cheese, one pepperoni: $14.05
Crust: Now this was amazing! It’s thin and floppy but also crisp! How’d they do that!?!? There was a nice crunch to every bite, and the thin crust made sure that you weren’t overwhelmed with dough. The balance of crust to toppings was absolutely perfect. The taste was great, too: flavorful, not dry and floury.
Sauce: The sauce was excellent with a slightly sweet taste. The distribution was a little bit uneven in places but that didn’t detract from the rest of the pie.
Cheese: Good, cooked well, with a decent quantity (of course I thought there could be a tiny bit more, but that’s just me). Bonus: there were extra spices on TOP of the cheese! That was new and different, but inspired; it added just a wee bit of zest we haven’t had on other pies.
Pepperoni: These were a little on the thin side but they had a good meaty texture, and were just spicy enough to bite the tongue.
Wow, what a pizza! I’ve always liked Good Fellas pizza, but in the context of this ongoing taste test it really stood out. The pair that we got was also larger than the “normal” small pie, at 12” (instead of 10”). Kevin was suitably impressed with this pie as well, knocking out his previous fave Jano’s. Definitely the best of what we’ve had so far!
