Appearance – So tiny! The biggest one here was 1.5”H, while the smallest was just 1”H, coloring is about half red, half yellow.
Taste – Now here’s an unusual find. These are TINY apples, averaging just over an inch in height. They have an extremely floral flavor and are juicy but have a weird chalky aftertaste. Sweet but slightly bitter, perhaps this may be due to the shipping time? (I understand they may come from Washington State.) They have a nice crunch but are not overly crisp. They’re extremely cute, however, and may be a hit with kids due to their small size, but they lost some points with me due to the bitterness and chalky after-effect. Worth a try if you’re interested, though.
NOTE: I had to research this one because of the size. I wasn’t sure they were regular apples or crabapples. Turns out they’re regular apples: the size and appearance is the key. These are bigger, plus crabapples look more like cherries.
