Two medium pizzas (14”), one cheese, one pepperoni, $20.03
Crust: This was very floppy and soft. It had a bland taste but was not floury. The crust in middle of the pie was really thin and kind of soggy, so it was definitely better in the “back half” or handle.
Sauce: This wasn’t bad, seemed to be fresh as chunks of onion were visible, but was not very heavy on spices otherwise
Cheese: This was really undercooked and not very strong or thick. The strange thing was it had a lattice-like structure so it came apart easily. It felt kinda strange while eating it; I kept thinking it can’t be just mozzarella. Weird.
Pepperoni: Not bad texture-wise, decent thickness, not overly spicy, but unevenly distributed.
Kevin mentioned his pie was salty with his first bite, but I didn’t get a lot of that from the pepperoni pie, which is very strange. Also, a note to those who may visit this place, there is an actual sit-down restaurant with the same name in the same shopping plaza! The pizza shop is smaller and to the left of the restaurant (closer to the KFC).
Overall this was just a really weird pizza! Plain cheese was salty but the pepperoni wasn’t? Lattice cheese? Yeek. It was also a bit pricey for the “privilege” of eating “gourmet” that frankly isn’t as good as others we’ve tried.
