Pat’s Pizza, 2900 Township Line Rd (Rt 1), www.patspizzeria.com
Two small pizzas (12”!!), one cheese, one pepperoni, $13.55
Crust: The crust was firm, albeit a bit tough/chewy and browner on the edges. Not bad, though.
Sauce: This was really good. Interestingly, there was more tomato taste here than spices, but it was definitely not pasta sauce. Just more tomato-y than usual, which made it different.
Cheese: This was a wee bit undercooked in the middle but there was puh-lenty of it!
Pepperoni: Meh – it was okay, and not spicy at all.
This pie was on the greasy side so be sure to have lots of napkins handy, but overall it was actually pretty good, especially for the price/size.
I’ve been going off a list of pizza joints I got from the internet, so a lot of them I’ve never even seen before. This restaurant was easily five times the size of Pizza Heaven, and has its own stand-alone building with lots of parking. The tables were not completely spotless as we saw some crumbs (be sure to check the booth seats before you sit down!), but the décor is nice and modern, and very airy. They also have free wi-fi and large screen TV’s so it’s a good spot to watch some football and surf on the web while you chow down.
