1 small plain cheese and 1 small pepperoni $16.08
Crust: Soft, not over or under-cooked but very thin, and the slices were kind of floppy. I’m not fond of floppy slices, but this was cooked well and I finished the entire crust, including the handle.
Sauce: Now this was fresh sauce – as in small pieces of real tomato could be seen. Big chunks of tomato are a real turn-off for me, but this was just fine. The spices were not overwhelming but definitely added a little “bite” to the pie. Kevin really liked the taste of the sauce on this one.
Cheese: Thin on quantity but cooked well.
Pepperoni: These were spicy but they were a little chintzy with the number of them.
Unfortunately, this pizza was one of the SALTIEST I’ve ever had!! I kept guzzling my soda to counteract the insane amount of salt present. Kevin, who ate the cheese pizza, didn’t seem to have this problem, so maybe it was the pepperoni. Overall I was not very impressed with this pizza. Even with a good crust and fresh sauce, the price was high for what we actually got, and the saltiness was a major black mark. Kevin will probably go back but I won’t.
Giving a rating for this was particularly difficult, as there were conflicting opinions, even between two people. Since it was actually better than PT#1, we gave it a slightly higher rating.
