$1.69/lb Giant Food Stores
Appearance – very round, somewhat hefty, 3”H, muted red color, almost looks like a faded salmon-orange mixture.
Taste – For the very first apple to be tried in this taste test, this was a really good choice. It’s very sweet, crisp and crunchy, has an understated tartness, and is not overly soft or hard. Fuji is apparently on the sweeter side of the sweet/tart spectrum, and since I already knew I liked sweeter apples, this was a good beginning, having a nice middle ground to start off on.
